It has been decided, subject to Government guidelines, to hold the 2021 Autumn Show on Saturday 11th September.  Further details will available soon.

All of our members receive a Members Handbook early in February each year which includes full details of the show schedules.

Do come along and see our next show – open for you to view from 1.30 to 4pm – you can be sure of a warm welcome – we like to hold them in a friendly atmosphere where we can all learn more about our hobby and have fun.

OR, if you like to exhibit, our competitions are OPEN to people who are not members. If you are not a member but would be interested in showing with us please click on this link (opens a pdf document) to see all details of the classes, rules, information and recipes. There are NO entry fees for classes.

In addition to the competitions on show we have refreshments, a display table for information, packets of seeds and magazines to take for a small donation, plant sales, free leaflets and a raffle and are happy to give gardening and craft advice.

PARKING – For St Nicholas Church Hall – there is plenty of free parking all around in the side roads, some in the church car park and some in a Recreation Ground close by.  Please see the link to the Shows Schedules for more details.

In addition to cut flowers of major flower groups we also organise classes for people with interests in other flowers, vegetables, floral art, cookery, crafts and photography. We have classes for Novices only; Children only – under 10 years and Juniors only – 10 to 15 years.

We have Novice classes for the major flowers, vegetables and floral art

We have Children only classes (below 10 years)

Junior only classes (10 to 15 years inclusive)

Novelty classes – a few for a laugh

Our Horticultural classes are judged by Royal Horticultural Society rules.

Our Craft, Cookery and Floral Art classes are judged by National Federation of Women’s Institutes rules.
